The Munising Bay Quilt Guild Show is coming this Friday & Saturday, October 6 & 7. Friday, 11-5, Saturday 10-4, at the Good Shepherd Church in Munising. $3 admission gets you into an unbelievable display of beautiful Quilt artwork plus a free potholder made by members of MBQG to take home.
Whispering Pines Quilt Shop will be a vendor this year at the show, but have no fear the quilt shop WILL BE OPEN thanks to a few wonderful friends who will be in the shop helping to keep me in 2 places at one time.
The shop will be open from 10-6 on Friday & 9-5 on Saturday. Plus there will be a 10% discount those two days for anyone stopping by during the show. Also come see me at the show & check out my specials!
Our End of Summer Sale continues from September 6 through 9. That's Wednesday through Saturday. Hope to see you at the shop!
February, Tuesday's classes were the "Walk About " quilt by Ann from Grizzly Gulch. Barb, Paula, Margaretta and Kathy have their tops finished and ready for quilting! Yah! Great job, girls. A fun time and much laughter was had by all. 4-Patch Posie on for March.

Even though it's snowing outside, spring has arrived in the form of a new quilt and pattern from Grizzly Gulch Gallery by Ann Lauer called "Walk About". Instructions included are for a lap to king size. Those that know me well, know most of my quilts are queen or king, this one is king size.
Also from Ann Lauer , "Radiance" and "Free Fall". Radiance has sizes wall to king and Free Fall is a wall & lap bargello quilt as you go. Come on in and put a little spring in your quilting.

2016 held many new beginnings and I'm sure we will see many more in 2017.
Whispering Pines will be starting it's first club on Thursday, January 12th. "Sit and Sew, UFOs". It will be each Thursday, running in three-month segments, from 10-5.
What to do: come any time on Thursdays, and register any "UFOS" you wish to work on and finish. Have fun meeting new and old friends while working on those UFOS.
Perks to joining: in shop specials, drawings, receive a ticket each week for attending, and receive five tickets for each finished, registered UFO. Then at the end of 3 months a ticket will be drawn for a gift basket of quilting goodies.
